Sydney Aquarium

turtles are so nice and cute eventhough it was much more fun to watch them in the barriar reef while snorkling.

A shark in one of the bigger pools. The aquarium was a disappointment mostly because the expectations was so high from what people told me about it.

Sydney really love its bridge..

Sydney - Opera house

Sydney

The botanic garden is nice in the very heart of Sydney leading up to the opera house.

Early European settlers lived here, but now it has been turned into an expensive food court.

Surfing in Byron Bay

Byron Bay is terrific for beginners as the waves are clean and high enough. :-)

Getting up is still not automatic..

Here I'm aiming pretty well for the beach.

Byron Bay

Byron Bay main beach.

Surfers Paradise

The sign to the beach cannot be missed.

Kind of crazy with such high scrapers so close to the beach, but I think it's cool in a way.

The view from the highest building X1.

A nice cappucino and a too big cake while enjoying the view.

..and of course they have to have their own hard rock cafe. Nice!

Truth is that "Paradise" has alot of good night clubs and Melbas is a good one.

A dutch guy and I partying at Melbas..

Going surfing in Noosa

After half an hour with some help I finally got up and could control it for a few seconds. Not beautiful but felt good once you feel the power of the waves.

My instructor, the frenchman was a really good teacher and even tried to make it as fun as possible too.

Australian Zoo

The koalas are really slow and are only awake 2 hours a day and then they only eat. There only food source is specific ecalyptus leaves contain so little energi that they cannot waste any time but eat. When they mate the male climbeds over to the females tree and the mating is over in 30 seconds according to the speaker at the zoo. Strange animal.

Noosa on the sunshine coast

Hell gate is nice.

Fraser Island

This is the greatest sand island in the world and it contains some fresh water lakes with sand on the bottom. The aboriginies thought that the water was sacred and that if you swam in it you would be keep your youth and even be younger. Didn't help me, but very nice cristal clear water.

The famous Mahony wreck on the beach.
